I wrote this in my english class and my friends told me it was a really good and that i should show people, so here it goes:
Off to war
On all their helicopters, they're off to war,
Scared because of all the stories they hear,
Bombs blowing and guns killing,
With death all over the battlefield,
the screaming, the killng, the blood, and the dead,
These are the things that people remember,
That never leave their heads,
They hope and hope that they dont die,
By the huge bombs that drop from the sky,
Making dead bodies appear from thin air,
With these new thoughts, they tremble with fear,
Already smelling the rotting corpses,
The soldiers start thinking of other things,
families, loved ones, and all of their friends,
they regret going to war and want to go home and stay in bed,
Back where its safe, and nothing to fear,
Other than everyday problems,
They beg their leader to let them go home,
But its too late, the course is set,
...They're off to war.
