Found a little treasure sitting on my sisters bookshelf. She had purchase a book and never read it. It seemed interesting but It wasn't mine. Since she wasn't reading it I did, and now she's not getting it back.
Savvy is a fantastic book. Its the first one in a while that had a predicatable ending but still had me cheering and squirming waiting for it to arrive.
Mibs is about to turn thirteen, and in her family when you turn thirteen you get a savvy. A savvy is a special gift that allows you to control the weather, use electricity and sparks, do everything perfect or make the earth shake. Mibs is excited sure that her savvy will be fantastic, but her normal father gets in an accedent and suddenly she only wants a savvy that will help her poppa. Sure that her savvy will help she hitches a ride with her brother Fish, and Sampson, and the preachers kids. The ride changes their lives forever.
I can't say enough how much I enjoyed this book. Even though its short and only took me a day to read I love the book so much. Might even walk down the aisle. The best thing is that there is a sequel coming. (By Ingrid Law<- have to include her name)
