Chapter 6: Inuyasha and Kagome
(Authors note): I will update this as soon as I can.
Inuyasha and Kagome entered the kingdom of Hyrule 2 days after Link, Marth, and Roy had the battle with the once known King Bublin. The two had been wandering around for hours before it was finally time to take a break.
"Kagome, how long has it been since we've been out here?" Inuyasha asked.
"I don't know. I lost track hours ago." Kagome said.
How the hell am I supposed to know how long we've been out here? I mean, I lost track as soon as we stopped walking. Its like I'm too tired to remember anything. Inuyasha, you have so much to learn. Kagome thought.
They looked at each other for a period of time, not knowing what the other was thinking. Finally, Inuyasha broke the silence.
"Kagome, how come you haven't shot me with an arrow yet?" Inuyasha asked.
"I guess its because... I love you, Inuyasha."
But, do you love me back?
Kagome just stared at the sky as she thought about it. She had never really thought about it as much as she wanted to. They have been so focused on finding Zelda and the Sacred Jewel shards that she didn't have any time to think about it.
"Kagome, is that the reason of why you stay with me until you have those tests, although your not in school anymore?"Inuyasha asked.
Kagome nodded.
"Inuyasha, you know thats the reason why. I mean, why else would I stay with you? So I could have the jewel shards myself? I have no use for them or the entire jewel. Don't you even see that?" Kagome asked.
Inuyasha stared at her for a moment, then turned away.
"Lets just keep going, ok?"
"Uh, sure. Ok."
The two of them got up, ready to start their walk again. Inuyasha looked at Kagome, then to the road. He knew it was a long way to where they were headed. Seeing that it was a vast, beautiful country, he decided to enjoy it as much as possible.
"Kagome, can I tell you something that I never told Kikyo?"
"Sure, Inuyasha. Anything."
Here it comes! He's going to say it finally!
To Kagome's suprise, he said it.
"Kagome, I... I love you. I never got a chance to tell Kikyo, so, I'm telling you. I love you, Kagome. And I want you to stay with me no matter what happens. Ok?"Inuyasha said.
Kagome didn't realize what had happened. All she could do was run into his arms and kiss him. She kissed him until she couldn't hold on anymore.
"Kagome."
"Inuyasha. Don't leave me. Don't go to Kikyo, even if she's close. I need you here with me."
"I won't, Kagome. I promise."Inuyasha said, closing his arms around Kagome's body and kissing her on the forehead.
