this is the evening of getting back to my old life. Kinda...
So since Thursday I've been living a rush, feeling like I was living in someone else's body. On Thursday, it was the start of the new semester. Not only did I have entirely different classes, but I also had to gather my homework for Friday and help a new girl, Amanda around. She's awesome. x] I thought that that day was entirely a blast, but that kinda made me off-guard for Friday.
On Friday I got all dressed up, curled my hair for only the second time (first for church =P), went to school, then left for BPA competition in Granite for the day. Had taken my two compy competitions ahead of time, so all I had to do the day-of was the general contests open to everyone and our spelling team. Well, got 3rd in one of my things I did beforehand, 5th on the other thing, another 3rd on the Information Technology general contest (yay!!~), and our spelling team got second, with the seniors from our school getting first. Karen forgot how to spell "succeed" lol. But, seriously, I was EMBARRASSED to be in the same room with all of those idiots from the other schools. I mean, really... how the s**t do you NOT know how to spell the words we were given? The freaking fifth grade spelling bee was at least four times harder than that lame excuse they had for a "spelling bee." *heavy sigh* well at least all our our members are going to state heart
Saturday we headed back to school to leave for the one-act play competition in Monte. That was fun- 6 schools competed. The winner was a really awesome (and hilarious) play called All I Ever Needed to Know I Learned From Being In A Really Bad Play or something like that. Lol it was awesome. Also awesome was the fact that our school tied for third (only the first two schools got to advance to state though) and Leah A. got the Best Actress award. ^^
And now today. In the morning was church, discovering we didn't have a lesson book for our sunday school kids so we played Toothpaste the whole time, going home to eat our awesome bull meat (hamburgers today... yum~) , then wandering like a madwoman around the house for ideas for Sunny's birthday gift. Eventually I made a keychain out of hemp (lol... xDD) and gave her two books... yeeahh. rolleyes When we got there we just kinda hung out (her host family went to a relative's for the day) until Natalia (the new foreigner at school) came, then we had the "Hot Pot." Let me say, I was wrong by thinking that the Chinese barely eat anything. Good gosh it's like 5 hours ago that we ate and I'm still stuffed!! It's like, we got a small bowl, and Sunny just kept putting stuff in it for us... more shrimp, more potatoes, more cabbage, more beef, more mushrooms... it was a LOT of food. xD And it was all really really good, because there was some sorta peanut butter sauce we drowned everything in. Then after that we watched both Hellboy movies and now I'm here.
Thank goodness I don't have anything tomorrow. Unless, of course, my bosses decide to get back to me so I can finally go back to work!! blaugh Haven't worked for a whole freaking month because of the play, so I'm very excited~~ whee If that falls through, I just have a day to catch up on some much-needed homework time. I thought what with it being only the beginning of the new semester and all, they'd let us off easy for a few days to adjust, but nooooo. I have a book report to write, two huge geo tests to study for, three tests/quizzes in am lit to study for, finish math hw, do that autobio for compapp, and study for spanish..........
urrggggggh.
