Poem: Not so sweet
I have no idea what I was thinking when I wrote this, I had the song Sweet Amber by Metallica stuck in my head so I guess that could be the reason.
I wanted to write a poem about how people hide their emotions, this is how it ended up. hope you guys like it:
A girl that lives a lie
She hides in her innocence
She lives like everyone else
her life seems so pure
So right
So sweet
Her life seems normal
Everyone surrounds hers
They throw themselves at her feet
She seems to love the people
She seems happy
It seems to good to be true
Her true face is hidden by lies
Lies of innocence
Lies of happiness
She shows what she wants you to see
She can't face herself
She will try to act happy
But it's not enough to her
She feels alone
She feels unloved
Her heart breaks inside
She hides in her fears
She wants to be free
Free of the pain
Free of the torment
She lives in a world of lies
She lives with her broken innocence
But she never shows her true self
The world would never understand
So she puts on the fake happiness
And lives through her pain
She is no longer innocent
She will be alone
