love and death

There was a city by the sea

Where you did comfort me

Before darkness had taken hold

And my soul I dearly sold



Oh how I wished it were

That it was I you prefer

She was love, my companion

And my soul she abandoned



There she broke my heart

And then left me in the dark

Now I fill these rotten graves

For it is love my soul still craves



So I conceded to the crypt

So she would not find this script

For everything love shall have

Yet I retire to a wandering path



There was a time this wasn't so

For it was love I sweetly know

But she is Love and I am Death

And I've resigned to stealing breath
