"To rise and protect, to grow and shield." The woman's voice above the baby boy seemed to echo around the room. She placed a rose above the baby's head. "The rose princess will rise... and you of four will protect her." The woman bent and placed a kiss upon his head. "With her kiss... you will serve."
Izuma Tamaki sat in his class, his purple eyes out of focus as he looked out the window. Stories from his parents about that night came to him almost as if he could remember the actual event. Though he couldn't picture the woman's face that stood above him as her painted lips moved as a smooth low voice of a woman spoke the words over and over, 'Rose princess... you will serve.'
Another student sat in class, Nagahara Kim. He was the youngest in the class. He was very intelligent, so therefore he moved up in grade. He was cute, almost like a girl with his golden eyes and light blue hair. His pencil moved quickly upon the paper. He didn't think too much about the spell that was placed upon him while he was younger. If the rose princess did appear to him, he would protect her with everything that he had without a second look at his life. He would die for her.
Sitting in about the middle of the room was Sohma Setsuna, class president. He was every girl's dream guy. Smart, funny, athletic, the ideal man. He too sat in class, though no notes were really being taken. He was lost in the dream he had the night before. He had danced with a young woman without a face. She and pressed into his chest, her fingertips brushing the white rose upon his chest. Blue eyes watching her ever so closely...
Right behind Setsuna was Takoya Kira. Dark and mysterious, he didn't say much. Strangely enough, he was Setsuna's best friend. As the class president sparkled infront of the crowd, Kira stood behind him. A hidden strenght that no one understood. He was the artistic kind, delicately doodling a black rose upon his paper.
The teacher snapped her ruler against the tabel. "Izuma, pay attention." Everyone jumped and looked forward. "Sorry..." Takami mumbled. The teacher sighed, "Now we have a new student in class, and I hope that you are all respectful." The door opened and everyone in the room looked to see the person who stepped into the class room.
