Nonetheless, I found out something about Princess and the Frog in regards to our Johnny G aka John Goodman.
I think John's using his Mack voice with a Southern accent cause I compared Mack to the alligator's voice. They almost sound the same if not for the accent.
...
The man is a rockstar. XD
Ok this makes no sense and I don't mean to offend anyone but I'm just stating my 2 cents here as seeing this is my journal so ya:
I was watching a show last night on the best of Disney songs and so far Circle of Life and Can You Feel the Love Tonight came on and I was happy cause 2 songs are amazing. However, after they showed those songs they showed a New Moon song. Yes, New bloody Moon. Ok, question: when the heck was the Twilight series animated? Even so, the song sucked and the singer looked extremely pathetic while singing it; the song itself was a love letter to a certain Cullen.*sighs* Ok, we get it, New Moon's coming out - fangirls and fanboys are willing to jump into Rob's pants but can we for once get off the subject of it? I mean, I like Twilight but...it's just not...satisfactory enough. Like HP that was great. Twilight is like...anti-HP and it's just..not as good as it. That and Lestat (Interview With a Vampire) can easily kill Edward who's not even a damn vampy, he's a shape shifter!
Then after that grinded my gears, they showed a song from the Princess and the Frog which made me happy....until I saw what it was. It was a rap song performed by the black artist Ne-Yo (no idea who he is) but the thing that got me was:
1) Ok, we get it, the movie has black charas but is rap really necessary for it? Cause rap = crap and two...not all black people are about rap so quit stereotyping them! I mean look at John Lee Hooker from The Blues Brothers - the man was an awesome blues dude! Then compare his blues roots to Wayne Brady who is now a Christian or rock singer or something...it just shows not all black people love rap.
2) The movie has more of a fairy tale theme. I understand the artist was trying to incorporate that into his song but the fact is..it just didn't fit. There were no curse words or sex in the song itself but just the fact it didn't fit. Rap is more like...serious stuff as to where Disney's like...not as much serious but more magical and fairy taleness. It's kind of like saying what I said for the HP Pothead thing: We're going to screw up your fantasy, literally.
*sighs* This stuff's pissin me off anymore.
This is gonna sound stupid but last night I just found out that Randy from Home Improvement was Simba in the Lion King. XD Yes I never knew that, yes I'm a dolt, and yes I'm sorry. Also, when working on Lion King they had real lions, cubs, etc. in the studio for better art references. They did the same thing for Bambi and...101 Dalmations I think.
I'm just glad for PatF that they're returning to hand drawn animation. Why? Cause I mean...look at the classics: Sleeping Beauty, Little Mermaid, Aladdin - they were all hand drawn and became instant beautiful classics. Heck, maybe PatF will be a classic as well. I hope so though cause it looks good to me.
