that is the strategy I have adopted tonight. Slowly but surely I have been chugging my way through masses of long-term assignments and other projects.
the problem is that even though I'm getting further on everything, nothing is still getting entirely done.
=/
What I haven't even started yet is studying for the math test tomorrow (urg) and I need to talk to dad about getting me a note for THT...
OH and a couple bigger news events today. First hour when half the school was in band (basically lol) we all heard a shriek, and Mr. Schultz just passed it off as someone having too much fun in the hall. Well, pretty soon we discovered that something was terribly wrong in the hall by the weight room (we're right next door to each other). Mr. Schultz went to go look, and reported that a girl named Emily Woods had either broken her leg, or it was cut to the bone somehow just under her knee in the weight room. There was blood everywhere. Sam W. was in tears (she and Emily are half sisters, Karen told me...), and they had an ambulance and everything... By third hour the entire school knew (not long, eh? =P) and it wasn't until after school that i learned what had really happened.
Apparently Emily was doing leg presses and when she got done she forgot to lock it, so when she got up, the whole thing just came down on her leg. (she was pushing 75 lbs at the time... they said that yesterday she was pushing up to 200 lbs... o.o; wink A few minutes ago Karen sent me a picture of what the wound looks like all cleaned up. You can actually see the bone, the gap is that big.
eh... I'm getting light headed just thinking about it. x.x Speaking of light headed, Nov. 20th our "advanced" (lol) bio class is watching a live autopsy, just like they did last year... I'm debating whether I can sit through it or if I should back out now...
whatever. Now I'm working on a speech about Canada. x]
... I need a freaking pause button.
