Friday night, I got the privilege to go see Jeff Dunham live with my dad. Ever since I came across this funny man, it would be my duty to go to one of his shows and to actually see him last night was an amazing experience; not to mention I got the tickets last minute and despite them being in the back row of floor seats, it was much better than the idea of being in the box seats where you could hardly see the man. I felt bad for those people but I got over it lol. Anyway, back to Jeff Dunham. Once we got there, it was packed and parking was a b***h. We actually had to park away from the arena and walk to and from there but I didn't mind the walk. He was scheduled to go on at 8:00 but he didn't come on until 9:15 so I was happy. I started to worry once it got to 8:00 and we were still waiting to find a parking spot lol. Before he came on, Brian Haner aka "Guitar Guy" came on and did some stand up. He showed off his awesome guitar skills, but of course, and he wasn't a bad stand up guy. I also learned something new that night. His son is actually the guitarist for Avenged Sevenfold. After 'Guitar Guy' was done, they had a short 15 minute intervention until Jeff would come on.
After 15 minutes, the man of the show came up and told some stand up. He told how he went to the Miley Cyrus concert with his daughters and their friends, and his own friend, and how they were the only middle aged men there. They either 'looked like perverts, were gays, or were gay perverts." Then his friend spilt soda on the front of both his and Jeff's pants so they were "Two middle aged men, at a Miley Cyrus concert, with stains in the front of their pants" XD!!! They then went and bought t-shirts to hide the stain and he showed the picture of him and his friend both wearing Miley Cyrus shirts lol. It was funny. Then, the next day, he thought it would be funny if him and his friend would wear the shirts to work while they were filming his tv show but Jeff forgot that within 5 minutes arriving on set, he would have a costume change so his friend walked around the streets of LA the entire day with a Miley Cyrus shirt on lmao.
After he told the jokes, he took out Walter, than Achmed (my favorite), Peanut and Jose, and then he bowed for the standing ovation and disappeared. That was when I thought the show was over. No. He came back out and said "Do you think we have time for one more guy?" We all cheered and so he took out Bubba-J. You see, Jeff Dunham doesn't really use Bubba-J all that much so when he did, he had to use a cheat sheet lmao. The most memorable part of the Bubba J performance would have to defiantly be when the whole entire audience said Bubba J's lines before he even said them or while he was saying them lmao. Jeff Dunham was like "This would have to be the strangest thing I have ever heard at a show." Lol. Then Bubba J was like "It feels we are in some sort of church. Every one open your books and read Buddy J section 9" XD. It was funny. After that, the show ended.
Before we left however, Jeff Dunham came back out and used one of those launcher guns to launch free t-shirts to people out in the audience; I wasn't one of the lucky people though :'(. Honestly, I was more afraid and worried about being hit in the face with the T-shirt as it hurdles towards you God knows how many miles an hour than actually catching the damn thing lol. Oh but can I tell you. The one thing that really got me crazy was when he took off his jacket and you saw his muscles!!! Yeah, sure he’s middle aged but still he’s good decent looking for his age xD!!!! Ahhhh…<-- oh silly Amanda.
Of course, I wasn’t going to leave there empty handed. I bought a shirt with Achemed on it, a talking Peanut doll (I was going to get Achmed but I figured I got a shirt of him already. Next time I’ll get him though lol) and a dog tag with Peanut on it as well. I really enjoyed myself and would defiantly go see him again.
