...and it was raining all day.
But seeing it wasn't canceled, we went anyway.
Now, we parked behind the baseball stadium, not too far from where the event was taking place. We, like most people, had to walk a bit to get there. Mom suggested we check it out first before bringing the chairs and picnic rug thing.
When we get a little closer, I see a big, mean-looking, huge-a** purple cloud closing in on us.

My first though was "Oh s**t, it's a tornado. Cue the ******** sirens already."
I turn around and say "Y'know, I think we should get outta here-" and am soon interrupted by...
No, not the storm sirens. My mom says "Wait, I need a picture of this!"
I wanted to OTL right on that spot. But I didn't, I was busy running.
"It's nothing!" one of the guys in the orange vest says.
"I don't care what it is, I'm getting outta here."

It took me a few seconds to realize I WAS running. I guess when you think you're gonna die, your instincts take over and you don't have time to second-guess. You just run as fast and as far away from the thing as you can.

So, the spinning wall cloud is closing in and there's no sirens whatsoever. I've seen weaker storms trigger sirens. I guess we're gonna have to use our common sense this time and get the ******** out.
Mom is taking pictures, dad is trying to keep up with me, and I'm running with the speed of a cheetah on crack. Hell, I could be on the high school track team, everyone watching me run and my parents far behind me.
We then get in the car, drive away, and then laugh it out when we get home.
It ended up being nothing but a scary, spinning cloud in the end.

Now I wanna make a comic out of it. Hehe.

Moral: When you see a giant, spinning wall cloud closing in on you and you're outside, drop the ******** camera and run for your life.
