Someone loved Zhivago once. She was a respectable maiden who took him into her home when he was at his weakest and nursed him back to health. He was trying and quarrelsome, but she cared for him patiently and grew to love the man, waiting for the day he would reciprocate. After he recovered, her life was empty again, so she sought to draw him out of hiding with blood. He shot her twice. People who kill for passion might also kill out of anger. Zhivago thinks her name was Penelope but maybe it was Prudence. It probably doesn't matter.
