Normal Attacks: Knows karate
Special Attacks: “Forcefield of Agony” Backlash creates a barrier, trapping his opponent within, and the barrier tortures its victim with lack of oxygen and immense pressure. This barrier takes a few seconds to set up, but uses lots of energy. He can only attempt this move twice before his life becomes endangered; using this forcefield can backfire if he is too weak to use it, resulting in a possible death. His opponent must be stationary for this move to work, if not then the forcefield won’t trap anything. Backlash uses this attack mostly for interrogations, because it can cause a slow and painful death.
Powers: Master at defensive techniques, such as barriers. Can invent objects out of almost anything.

Backstory
Backlash was born into a renegade vigilante gang, in Mystical Forest. His father, Veet, was the boss, and tried to teach his son to be a rough, hardcore person. However he tried to make himself that way, Backlash could never understand the point to hurting innocent people. He was too ‘soft’ for the gang, as the other members told him, and he was often made fun of. The only people who didn’t care about his ‘softness’ were his mother, his sister Aiko, and a girl named Marabelle. This Marabelle became his love interest, and he competed with a parrot named Jared Maxwell, who constantly dropped by to give her gifts and express his love. Backlash was too shy to confess his love, and just befriended her with the hopes that their friendship would become something more. One day, his mother fell ill from her exposure to one of Dr.Eggman’s machines, when he attempted to destroy the forest for his own evil plans. Backlash was shocked and angered at the gang’s reaction to Janice’s death; they buried her and mourned for little more than an hour before going back to their daily lives. This caused Backlash to run away from his home. He didn’t leave the forest, though, because he had never ventured outside of it before. He made a home out of an abandoned treehouse and remained there, alone. He found work as a mechanic in a small, nearby town and fell in love with machines. On one of his work trips, though, he ran into Airi the Canary, who was prancing in a field. She persuaded him to befriend her, and would meet up with him every day in that field. Airi eventually told him he should go back to his birthplace and visit his sister. Backlash, although reluctant to do so, went. He snuck in at night and overheard Veet drunk, babbling about how his children are both cowards to run away. Surprised to hear that Aiko also ran away, he left the gang hideout and began a search for her. Going to all of her favorite spots, he found her in a small clearing with Marabelle. They became happy at the sight of him and explained how they both ran away to be with him. He led them both back to his new home and confessed his love to Marabelle. Then, they got engaged. Upon hearing about Backlash’s little adventure, she asked him to join a gang that her friend was trying to form. He nervously accepted, because to him, ‘gang’ meant evil deeds and cold-hearted people. But he could see that Airi wasn’t one of those people, so now Backlash has met the other members, and is interested in how being in this ‘gang’ will turn out.
