Here's an MSN conversation I had with my friend (Diablo Darkfire) going over some creative ideas. Just keeping it here to keep a record of it.

Well, actually, I need help naming something.
I created a race of people for my Duelist series and have yet to give the race a decent title.
The reason I'm asking, is because I want to incorperate this into my character development for Rikku.

Okay.
They basically look exactly the same as normal humans.
They features basically look like metis people (or even french, for that matter).
They mostly have very light coloured hair, like blonde, or light brown, but are known sometimes to have darker coloured brown.
They have very pale skin colour, kind of like elves.
And the feature that sets them apart from most, is almost like a '2nd pupil' in their eyes.
(I'm just calling it that, cause I don't know how to explain it.
)
Basically, their pupils are half the size of normal humans, and they have a black streak the goes top left to bottom right (diagonally).

My idea was this when I created it: a human in our world is composed of 3 basic things - body, mind and soul.

I figured these thress races would reflect this triangle.
Humans representing the body (being better at physicaly hand-to-hand combat), elves represents the mind (better at ranged and psychic battle) and this race representing the soul (being better with elements, as in story, the elementalists are very spiritual people.)
I came upon a name for this race, which I originally called Fenreal (Fen-ray-al), and was trying to see if I could think of something better.
I like the name, but it seems a bit displaced compared to 'humans' and 'elves', y'know?
And yes, I agree. I totally should draw this.

You remember how we agreed that Joseph was a decendant of the original character, Ken, right?
Which obviously makes Rikku a decendant, aswell.

Well, here's what I've been doing in the last two years. You might be amazed on how much of the Duelist world I've managed to figure out.
So, there are the three races, humans, elves and fenreals (for now).
Obviously, for many years, they bred amungst their own kinds
Until one day, a human man and a fenreal woman fell in love with eachother.
There was a big uproar among the people of both races, saying this was wrong and should never be done.
Determined to be together, they ignored everyone and had two children together.
Though the female was proud of what they did, the male was somewhat confused.
He was attacked by many people for no more reason than being in love with this girl.
Eventually, he started getting depressed and things in my head a bit blurred from there.
Basically, he falls to darkness.
Thus, the origin of Barron D.
So after reading that, I'm sure you've guessed, these two were Ken's parents.
So, the Fenreal blood is in Joseph and Rikku.
Not to mention that Ken ended up mating with a Fenreal woman, who bore 3 daughters.
200 or so years later, after the fall of many kingdoms, and many changes to society, we arrive where we are now.
So basically, I want to run with the concepts of this race and what they do.
By bringing them out through Rikku.
I would also like to incorperate a new character, who is a full blooded Fenreal warrior.
Obviously, through breeding over the years, the features of this race have become extremely blurred (considering Joseph and Riku have no signs of the 2nd pupil.
But the blood is still there.
So yes, that is what I've been thinking about.
