-3 years later: Age 15-
For about three years now, Mizuki would often be seen with Akito at school with a smile. Shinobu didn't seem worried about it. He had way too much stuff to even stop and think about it. At lunch, he sat with his athletics buddies. Of all days that they could have chosen to talk about it, they chose today.
"You know that girl that used to be alone all the time?"
"Whoa, you talking about Aichi?"
The mention of Aichi caught Shinobu's attention, so he listened in.
"Yeah. She used to be so weird all alone until that one guy came in. What's his name again?"
They paused for a minute to think about it.
"...Koyama Akito." Mumbled Shinobu.
"Ah! Yeah, that's the name. Thanks Tsukiyomi."
He shrugged. They didn't stop for a minute so they continued on in their conversations.
"Ever since he came in, Aichi seemed to have changed. She seems so much cuter that way."
"Don't tell me you falling for her."
"Nah man! I got my Sa-chan!"
The others laughed.
Shinobu was silent for a while at this point, ignoring them while he was thinking. What were the others trying to say? It didn't make sense to him...

-AFTER SCHOOL-

Shinobu waved to his friends good bye and turned to head home. He stopped in his tracks as he saw Mizuki giving Akito a hug before walking away. What was that? He didn't know why it was bugging him... Just as Akito was about to walk past him, Shinobu placed a hand on his shoulder. "Hey. Can I talk to you a bit?" He asked. Akito stopped and turned his head to look at Shinobu.
"Sure, Tsukiyomi. What's up?"
"Let's head to the park first, I want to feel more comfortable."
The boys went for a walk to the local park and sat at the bench. It was silent. Akito was getting a bit impatient. "So.. What you need to talk about with me?" he asked.
Shinobu stared straight ahead, then sighed. "If you don't mind me asking... What's your relationship with Aichi?" Talk about straight to the point.
Akito blinked his eyes and turned his head to look at Shinobu. Then he grinned. "Just a close best friend. What's it to you?"
"Nothing. You two looked closer than that at school, that's all."
"Jealous?"
"No. Just had to make sure."
"Tsukiyomi, you don't even talk to Mizu-chan."
"I thought you two were just friends."
"We are. I call her Mizu-chan, she calls me Aki-kun, kinda cute, isn't she." he grinned.
Shinobu was silent. "Whatever. Just don't get too close to her." He said, getting up to walk away.
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"Even I don't know..." Shinobu thought to himself as he walked away, replying to Akito.
