My thoughts: I agree. The truth is hard to face, I'll admit that. The truth is often harsh compared to the sweet lies that we are often told. But the truth helps us more. It helps us to grow, it helps us to become a better person. If we can face the truth in my mind you can face anything. The truth is the hardest thing to face, especially when it's the truth about ourselves. My brother always says that if a girl asks him if the jeans make her look fat he's going to tell her yes. Now those of you reading this are probably going, he's an idiot. He's a jerk, and trust me I have told him these things before. But what if it's the truth? Should he lie to her to make her feel better? Or tell her the truth and let her find something that makes her look better? It's a tough question right? It's also the reason I never intend to ask any person I date that question. But that's besides the point, the point is we are the truth. To find who we are, we must find the truth about who we are. Whether that be a good truth or a bad one, we still must face it. So don't be afraid to face the truth, embrace it. You need to understand who you really are to be yourself. So tell yourself the truth, don't live in lies.
