They were born in a family of what many people call "witches" and have lived in secret until sometime during the late 1800's their family changed their last names to increase their chances of survival. Though their powers were a gift, they came with a curse, whether they used their powers for good or evil, the powers would age them. Their grandfather learned the hard way that the curse was true, when he turned 30 after repeated use of his powers, he appeared in his 90's to all around him. Their power is addictive, like a drug and can cause their bodies to die out while the mind is still young. The gene is usually carried throughout the men, although a few of the females get the power passed to them as well much to the dislike of their parents.

Kahra is an eighteen year old girl who lives with her older brother Trey in a small city near a large forest. The population in the county is around 6,000 people at the most, many people have moved out or have come up missin due to camping trips in the forestmainly during the summer.

She's a fun loving, loyal party girl and despite being a party goer she is fairly responsible and goes to work at the local diner in order to get extra money for mainly herself so she wont take the money her parents gave her and her brother and use it on personal items (make-up, clothes, accessories, and alcohol). From here on...they live their lives in wonder as to what will happen next.
