Well, as you've prolly noticed by my profile, this 20 year old college kid's goin to prom! I'm not goin cuz i feel like spendin a couple hundred dollars just for one night tho, by NO means; this really awesome girl asked ME to go! Go fig right? Well not really. To be honest i wasn't really planning on going to prom at all (after all i'm 20 and in college lol), but as they say, plans ARE meant to be changed. She ended up askin me thru a little encouragement from a friend who wanted her to go. Sounds honest enough, right? Well.... just keep reading....
After we got that set up we didn't talk too much more about it, which set the stage for her friend to come in and play us against each other like the little manipulator she is. (grr... but anyway) She starts sayin that we should go to prom as a group, but here's the thing. She convinces me that MY DATE'S all for it, while at the same time convincing HER that I'M all for it! We end up consenting because we think the other one wants to do it, tho we ourselves don't. Then me and my date get to talkin away from the influence of her friend, and we find out the whole things set up cuz of her manipulation!
Have I lost you yet? Stay with me; it's about to all make sense... maybe.
So we end up pulling the rug out from under her friend, telling her that we decided to do our own thing instead (which was the original plan anyway). Now she's trying to pull a guilt trip on us because it's less than one week to prom (this Saturday jsyk) and she has to rearrange everything. My response to that is she should've thought of that before she started pulling strings and manipulating us like she did; in my opinion she brought it on herself, so she can sleep in the bed she made for all i care. (no offense to her, but she's a real jerk sometimes) I'm goin to prom with one of the most amazing girls on the face of the planet, and we're doin it the way WE wanna do it, not the way some control-freak-of-a-friend wants us to.
