Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was absolutely fantastic. I went to see it Thursday night for a midnight show. It was wonderful, save a few issues I had with it. Mainly the dumbing down of the plot twist at the end, the dragon chase in the first task, and as much as I'd hate to say it, the lack of SPEW. Also there was not NEARLY enough of Sirius and I was upset that the ending of the book wasn't the ending of the movie. The small meeting of Order members in the Infirmary would've been nice. Especially Snape and Sirius' handshake. I was so looking forward to that. But instead it wasn't even mentioned that Snape was a Deatheater other than the Pensieve scene. Which also wasn't done to my satisfaction. But all in all, it was a good movie. And the kids are so adorable. I understand why people are obsessed with Daniel Radcliffe. I just wanna pinch his cheeks though. He's adorable. But ew, he's 16.
RENT... Saw that this morning. It was also fantastic! All of the cast was wonderful. I was a little worried because stage actors usually don't transfer well to film. Adam Pascal did a wonderful job as Roger, sulky as he was. I was actually wishing Mimi didn't die at the end of the movie for a change. Of course, she doesn't... But you know. I usually hate Mimi. Anthony Rapp was spectacular. Jesse L. Martin was adorable. 'I'll Cover You' was the most ADORABLE seen. And 'Without You' made me cry so much. But it was a great movie.
I've been waiting for so long for both of these movies were out. I'm so glad neither one of them disappointed.
