Mommy, why do people cry?
Are they crying for me?
Mommy, I don’t know why we die…
Why did they let me?
I look upon your face and see the endless tears
Mommy, please don’t cry, I promise I did not die!
Mommy, I can see you clearly where you stand.
I’ll take care of you as best as I can.
Mommy, why do you look at me this way?
I swear I will stay!
No! Don’t touch me!
Keep those men away from me, Mommy!
I refuse to leave Mommy!
Don’t make me please!
This place feels so cold, Mommy.
Why did I leave you that way?
I can still remember the ear splitting cries that came from my throat.
The smashing, breaking and crunching of bones filled my mind.
His blood splattered face, turned into a wicked smile
That smile still haunts me…
That smile…that one smile… took mere seconds to form.
It all started out as fun and games
A party with friends and more…
Everyone was fine and having fun,
I noticed him and he noticed me
Glances shared with a heart beat increasing more and more.
Next thing I knew, Mommy, his velvet voice was saying “Hi” to me
I know what you told me about parties, so I did my best.
I was safe; I drank my own drinks, in a can of course.
Then why….why did he use so much force?
His burning hot fingertips gripping the fragile frame that belonged to my wrist
I told him he was rough, but he said it was only because he liked me…
I believed him.
I believed him, Mommy.
And I know I shouldn’t have…
We were sitting on a couch
Where everyone could see…
He held my arm as he kissed me,
Moving along my jaw and neck.
I felt something cold and metal,
I whined and he told me he wouldn’t
Hurt me…
He said he wanted a taste
I asked him “of what?”
He simply answered “Your blood.”
I felt the sharp point pressed lightly against
My neck.
Mommy, I was so terrified
I began to squirm.
He told me not to or
Something bad may happen…
Mommy, I was so scared!
He nipped my neck and wrists, licking
The blood away
He gripped my arms tightly,
Pressing himself against me.
I swear, Mommy, I told him to stop
He continued to cut my skin and I screamed
I knew not to move too much it’d only make it worse…
How come no one could hear me screaming, Mommy?
My throat and eyes burned as I screamed and tears fell ferociously down my face…
Why was I in that place?!
Are they crying for me?
