Yeah yeah... haven't updated this forever, and thought I might try to do so again, just to keep all of my gaian affairs in order. I think I'll start using my lj again too, or even better, make my own web site once my server is secure and stable, but that's a little way off. Anywho...
It's weird coming back to Gaia full time-ish, because ever since I started Gaia, I've been plagued with health problems all relating to my overload with sports, and my shoulder injury, and any stress related illnesses springing from it. I also had a ton of schoolwork as well. Now that I'm in college, it's quite a bit different.
This whole term has been cake. I was only allowed to take easy pre-reqs (with the exception of recording), and thus have nearly no homework. I just go to classes and recently I've been running around campus, trying to declare double major. It's weird having free time, and being healthier in general. There's no overbearing homework load. No school bullshit stress (well, some, but not as much). No retarded athletics. No physical anything at all actually because I'm still in rehab from my July '05 surgery. It's sort of like... rehabbing from drugs I guess, or at least similar to how people describe it. It's like someone stole my soul or life for 3-4 years, and I felt like s**t, and now I'm starting to get back on my feet again and spread my wings a bit. I won't go too much into that though. Wrote enough on that already. While it's still difficult to get used to this new life - not only the whole mental/physical health bit, but also the adjustment to college - I'm at least starting to enjoy the free time and taking a look at seriously clearing all of my overdue tasks on Gaia, which have been building up over the years. I'm actually making a dent in it, even while I'm starting new projects, which is very cool indeed. Heh, it's even to the point where the gold doesn't really matter all that much, and I find myself doing more artwork for free, because it's just about doing it and enjoying it. Not that I won't charge, it's just not all about the gold like it was before.
Anywho... now to the current progress:
Seiyamatsuri - I pmed the first half of the list regarding orders. Only a few replied back, and only three actually confirmed an order. Good because that means less work for me. Bad because it also means that people either changed names, or maybe just didn't get the pm, or perhaps want to harass me later about not getting their order done. Oh well. Still less work for me, and it's not like I was paid, and... yeah. Another small dent in my large debt.
Angel Egg - I don't know why, but I just haven't made it to A) certing the one angel, and B) finishing the other two. You'd think certing would be easy, but the thread kept going down when I did have the motivation and information, and now I work on a new computer. Actually, I am on the old one right now... so I should just get the cert finished this very moment (when I'm done updating of course). The other two angels are sexy and evil, and I could never quite get it as sexy and evil as I would like. No excuse I suppose. I should just get it done and call it good.
Pocket Gaians - Hah. I'm still gonna do it dammit. Even by myself. I suppose the plan is to get the AEs done, and Seiyamatsuri done, and then 10 PGs done before I open any more Seiyamatsuri slots. That way, the shop will be officially opened, and starting a shop is the hardest part. Looking to get to this beginning of December.
Stallion Battalion - Going well actually. I'm just a little behind in growing infants, mainly due to midterms, the flu, and a few other assignments like my recording arts.
Aroma Sprites - The shop was successfully auctioned, but the winners never replied, so the shop is dead. Until I reauction anyway. I might do that. I kept all of the graphics and shop online. No one paid me, so it's still mine to auction I guess. Maybe I'll get on that at the beginning of December too.
Lineart Auction - I made someone a lovely set of hippogryph art, but they never replied back, or paid, so I have no idea what happened. I might just finish inking them, pm the winner alot to see if she still wants them, and if not auction it off too. They really were quite good.
----- New Things -----
There are two new things I have in planning. Once again, only to be started once I've finished the Seiyamatsuri and current AEs.
1) Personal Angels - It's basically the AE shop revamped. It's more structured. The things have stages. It's totally customizable. You can rp to make them grow, or play games, or just wait a long time. In any case, I like it a great deal more, and I think it'll do well. In fact... I think I will offer the current 4 AE owners an opportunity to trade in for the new version. Better deal actually for them...
2) The 24 Days of Christmas - Basically it starts in December 1st. The first 12 days are the "12 Days of Giving" where people donate things like free avy art coupons, breedables, or whatever, to the project, to be later raffled off or used on the "Wheel of Holiday Fortune" (cliche I know). The last 12 days are the "12 Days of Receiving" (I think I want to change this name), and this is when people can spin the Wheel for a flat fee, and get a prize depending on what number they roll. Anywho. Had the idea from Halloween time discussion, and figured it would be better to use it as a holiday idea. I have school off from December 7th to Jan 9th, so I'll have more time to monitor it all.
In conclusion...
The plan is to get all old projects out of the way (for the most part), by end of November, and all new projects rolling by beginning of December.
