Kaikirai was as red as could be. He stood, frozen, in the cool, unusual air. He tried to look for something to say, but couldn't even mutter the smallest words. Kumoriiki looked up at him, and was blushing too. She put his arm back around her waist, and patted it gently. She then nudged him to keep moving. Kaikirai, being in a daze keeping a shocked face, moves forward and continues walking. Finally, Kaikirai realized the weather was actually cold. This was very unusual. It was never cold on his island. Ever. He looked up into the sky and gawked. "Holy...." he said, as Kumoriiki looked up. "...Its....gonna rain?" She asked, confused by his reaction. "Well....It might do a little more than that..." he replied. She looked closer, it was a hurricane forming. "Its...a...a hurricane!" she exclaimed in excitement. Now, the one confused was Kaikirai. He had never heard of anyone jumping for joy over a huge gusty, drenching storm. It didn't make much sense.
"Oh...Uh....I....I like storms....They're......exciting." she said, looking downward again, a little embarrased. Kaikirai shrugged and motioned forward. With that first step, rain suddenly began to drench the area. They were being pelted with rain, and now even hail. The hail persisted, and started to fall in larger chunks. Kumori squeeled happily, and startled at the same time, you could almost feel the andrenaline pumping through her. She smirked and dragged Kaikirai faster. Soon, they reached his neighborhood. The hail had stopped, for the time being anyway; but the rain fell harder and harder as each second passed. This was extremly unusual weather for this tiny island. Kumoriiki had given up the race she had began and was clinging to Kaikirai for the warmth she so desperatly needed. As awkward as it felt at first, it sure didn't seem like it ever did feel awkward now. He kept his arms wrapped around her tightly as they progressed closer to his house. This seemed like the longest walk back to his house he had ever taken.
When they reached the door, Kaikirai shoved his hand into his drenched pocket and scrambled around. Oh lord. The key wasn't there. "Hey uh....Kumoriiki...Unm...Is there a key in either of those jacket pockets?" he asked, a little nervously.Odd. No one was home either. She reached into the soggy pockets and rummaged through them carefully. "Nuh-uh." she said, shrugging. "Sorry Kai-san..". Wow, how unfortunate. Kaikirai hit his hand to his forehead and then exhaled loudly as he ran his hand through his hair. She could tell he was tense by how hard he was holding onto her arm. She thought breifly and then asked "Unm...Do you lock your windows..?" He thought, and without saying a word, guided her to the back of the house. He walked up to a window, wide open. "Uh...I must have forgotten to close my window earlier..." he said. "Oh..." she replied. Suddenly, he picked her up and held her up to the window. She didn't expect that and let out a quiet "Nya!" and climbed through the window. There was a huge puddle of water where she landed on the floor, and she slipped and fell on her back.
Worried by the noise, and acting by reflex, Kaikirai jumped through the window quickly whispering worriedly "Are you ok--" he was interuptted by him to slipping on the water. He fell forward and landed on top of Kumoriiki. She looked straight into his eyes, her heart pounding really fast, and a her face red as an apple. "Oh my god! Oh no! I did it agian! I'm really really sorry!!" Kaikirai said, his face as red as hers as he got off and helped her up. She took his hand and carefully stood up, almost slipping again. He guided her over to a chair and sat her in it, then went and flipped on the light switch. She looked around and then realized how much colder she was now. The aircon was on, and blasting at full power right in her direction. She shivered uncontrollably. He then realized that he ought to turn that off, she might become a popsicle. After turning it off, he asked "Unm... You're gonna need to change...I don't want you to get a cold Ku-chan." he had just came up with that nickname for her. She blushed, and nodded. "But...I don't have anything to change into..". Kai then took a pair of pajamas out of his dresser, handed them to her, and walked out of the room, closing the door behind him.
