I wish that i could lie awake
inside your arms and for my sake
i hope that i will fall asleep
inside my hands your heart i'll keep.
to know you love me brings me joy
but please don't play me like a toy
a fragile heart lies in my chest
but for our sake i hope the best
to see the look thats in your eyes
i know you can't be telling lies
but looks can be decieving i know
so tell me just where i should go
i put my trust inside your heart
and here i hope we never part
because to see you everyday
i wouldn't have it any other way
so hold my heart but don't let it break
and keep me whole for my own sake
i can't be broken anymore
for you will see me out the door
and if that doesn't make much sense
don't make this something that's past tense.
for once i feel as if this is true
because of all the things you do
you make me feel as if i'm one
that's something that no one has done
so let us hope that for our sake
