Sapphires and Diamonds

Glazed images and memories while walking through a crowd,
Remembering times when I once stood proud.
Soft classical baroque music and bright colored lights,
Sounds of children's' voices in the air echo like summer kites.
Dreamy visions touch my soul: loving words, caresses and kisses.
Flowing streams of love and tears, telling God my dearest wishes.
Prayers beat deep for the flesh of my flesh, my two little boys.
Oh, how they brought laughter in my heart and gave me joys.
Each little hug and kiss became sapphires and diamonds in the skies.
Treasured deep in my heart, moments of joy, tears, and sighs.
Sharing our secrets, wrapping our lives in a small world of happiness,
Daydreams, impromptu dates and treats, moments of togetherness,
Profuse affection deliberately special in each word, hug and kiss.
Oh, those delightful, enchanting giggles and chuckles I do miss,
Their voices and all their conversations were my world and universe.
How I long to tell my story, hear theirs and forever converse.
My heart says they'll remember all they were loved and taught.
And will soon be returning home to me and to not feel distraught.
Mature voices will call out to me, Mama, we are coming home.
Escorting me, one on either side of me, as a queen to her throne.
