Time: 6:51 AM
A week had passed since Hatsumi’s death. They said she was stabbed with a knife in the stomach. Ryu has been living with Kyo. She worried about him everyday when she left going to the lab for work. She had been assigned to a new testing subject. Living day after day was hard for him. He was just hanging on by a few threads. Most of the day he was quite staring out the window a blanket wrapped around him. He almost never talked. He barely talked only when needed. Most of the time he just nodded watching the window. He didn’t really know why he was looking outside but he was. Looking…for something he had no idea what.
Ryu sighed looking around the room after Kyo left for the lab. He got up walking to the bathroom. He turned on the water in the tub getting in once it was filled. He sighed, nothing like a hot bath to calm down. Steam filled the room as he listened to music playing from the next apartment over. He closed his eyes the hot water relaxing his muscles. About half and hour later he got out wrapping a towel around him going to Kyo’s room. He went into her dresser getting out a pair of his clothing. She have him one of the drawers she didn’t use for her clothing. He sighed walking back out into the living room sitting down wrapping himself in the blanket. He hugged his knees. “I miss her.” He said quietly. Hatsumi was like family to him, a lot like Kyo and Mrs. Nazuke where like to him. He closed his eyes soon falling asleep on the couch his head handing upside down off the couch.
Later one when Kyo came home she looked around for Ryu. “Ryu-chan! Where are you~” She shut the door walking around her apartment seeing him covered up and upside down on the couch. “It seems like he’s always sleeping….guess he really has nothing better to do since Hatsumi’s death.” She sighed. “But I think I got something that will cheer him up.” She walked over to him poking his chest. “Ryu, wake up.” He blinked falling off the couch onto the floor. “Ow….” He looked at her. “What Kyo…..?” He got up looking at her. Just then she ran into the kitchen throwing chocolate bars at him. They all hit him in the head. “Owwww!” He hissed at the chocolate pointing at them. “Evil!!” He picked them up putting them down on the couch. “Thanks Kyo.” He looked at the ground. He still seemed distant. I hope he stops acting like this soon……. She smiled putting a few things in the freezer. She was planning to give him a slice of cake and a cup of strawberry ice cream. “Ryu would you like to go to Hiroko’s house with me?” She smiled. He looked at her. “No thanks.” He walked to the bedroom going into her closet laying down in the sleeping bag set let him have. His room was her closet. Nothing more nothing less. He got in the sleeping bag resting his head on the pillowing hugging the stuffed cat.
Kyo sighed. “I hope this stops soon.”
