Ear infections suck...
I wanted my ear pierced SOOOOOOO badly so I was thrilled when I got it done. Well, starting yesterday morning my ear started hurting so I washed my hands thoroughly and turned the ring in warm soapy water and rinsed it in warm water like I'd been told. By the end of the day it had bled and I couldn't touch it without flinching. Well, I got in the tub and cleaned it VERY well, but at that point I knew it was very infected. I put peroxide on it and then tried to sleep through the throbbing pain (slept three hours and got up at 4 a.m.). It was even worse this morning and my jaw was clenching very tightly. I got off work at 11 and got to the doctor's at 11:15 (I called and scheduled the appointment this morning for 11:15). I had taken two ibuprofen cause it has anti inflammatory properties that other medicines like Tylenol don't have (though I like Tylenol) and it didn't do much good. I didn't get called back till 12:30, but I didn't expect sooner so that was good. The doctor took one look at my ear and said, "If you'd waited a day more to see me, you would have lost that ear." This is my second favorite ear, but I'm still pretty fond of it! rofl Really, this pain is almost intolerable. It makes me want to chop off this ear and set it ablaze! twisted LOL! Well, the pain isn't subsiding yet, but I'm going to take a shower and take my other medicines. I really hate the antibiotics pill because it makes me puke EVERY morning. cry I hate it, but it's better than losing an ear, I suppose.
