my philosophy on war
often times it has been said "if you want peace, prepare for war" and since we are humans, and an imperfect race, this is often the case, but war should be conducted just as philosophically as any other part of life, meaning, no children fighting, they should have the chance to mantain their innocence, though some warriors mange to do this to a certain extent, war is too much for most children.
basic human rights in war: we are all brothers and sisters, so it is sad when we must kill each other , but as i have said we are humans. if you must fight your brothers and sisters do not do it with hatred or anger, do it only because it is necessary, and only when it really is. there will always be those who will fight in ways that are not honorable, but we should do what we can to avoid this behavior.
war and the meek: it seems important to me that war should be kept as far away from innocents as possible, those who can not fight should not have to see it or endure it, war should be conducted chiefly on battlefields and no-man's lands, although it is sometimes necessary to bring war to the doorsteps of the meek, and if this situation arises, the meek should be avoided at all costs.
prisoners of war: full quarter should be given to all prisoners of war, for we are all brothers and sisters and treating anyone differently is not correct conduct, how can we make peace by taking prisoners and executing them all when they could be friends and allies later? all people deserve a chance and in the worst case, a trial. executions should be as humane as possible, or at least honorable.
