himeko: no, i don't.

luna: yes, you do.

luna: you weren't able to break 100,000. normally you could do that without any music.

himeko: well, what do i do about it?

luna: well, why don't you play pinball once a day for about a month? also, you have to listen to one song for each week.

himeko: sounds like a good experiment.

luna: well, when can we start?

himeko: maybe during the summer is good. there's bound to be good music during that time.

luna: sounds fair.

himeko: ...now what? the celebration is over.

luna: this is the part of new year's day where we reflect on everything that has happened the past year.

himeko: like the giants winning the super bowl?

luna: yeah, and the olympics in beijing?

himeko: uh...the first african-american president?

luna: SNL and sarah palin?

himeko: *laughs* okay, how about the renewed interest and popularity of vampires?

luna: yup, that was the only reason i began reading vampire books.

himeko: you've only read two.

luna: exactly.

himeko: yeah, why don't we look on wikipedia. i'm sure they have everything on 2008.

luna: great idea.

himeko: here's one: the resignation of fidel castro.

luna: oh yeah, i forgot about that.

luna: that's not important.

himeko: how about when Myanmar was devestated by a cyclone early last summer?

luna: yeah, but we forgot about that, too.

himeko: the earthquake in sichuan?

luna: that was important. it shows how quickly China can recover.

himeko: pervez musharraf resigns as the Pakistani president.

luna: yeah, but we kinda forgot.

himeko: they have an entry for eight gold medals.

luna: oh yeah, well, he'll come back, right?

himeko: ...i don't know.

luna: *grumbles* what about Ike?

himeko: and what about the Greek riots.

luna: i can't believe the police shot a fifteen year old.

himeko: and there's the airstrikes against Gaza a few days ago...you know, there was more bad than good.

luna: i know. that's why i say the end of the world will not occur in 2012!

himeko: really?!

luna: really! i believe that the end of the world will happen before the year's over!!

himeko: *stares* ...dryd'c hud y jano kuut bnucbald.

luna: oh, shut up. you know it's going to happen.

himeko: oac, pid hud drec oayn un eh 2012.

luna: i'm sure it's going to happen this year.
