wahmbulance Im so not ready for this seasons celebrations. my decor is still sitting in their boxes on the floor in the living room. The day I normally do all my decorating is the day I happened to have gotten married on this year. So my timing is WAY off. I need someone to come help me or something. I dont even want to bake this year. I dunno I guess Im just over all the hub bub. Dont get me wrong, I LOVE this season. But for me its more about the feeling than the decorations. I think its a shame that we have to drag out the decor to get in the mood. It makes me think that the decor is filled with magic or something. LOL Dont mind me Im just thinking out loud here. but when you think about it....the smell of cookies filling the house and lights of all colors dancing around the entire neighborhood, people singing, doesnt that sound like magic to you? It sure does to me! When you go to church you are set to mood with calm and lighting, then singing and then are fed right? Pagan traditions and rituals are exactly the same. Theres candles and singing and feeding. this is the one time of year that all our differences are shown to be just about the same. Some would say we put differences aside, I think we choose to see what we all have in common. And because of the "spirit" of intent, magic happens. People actually become different. Im not saying they are happier or more sad or anything like that, they just act different. and because of that we can find new things to like about eachother.
