So.. no lyrics for you.
I really need to stop surfing ebay for neon peformance parts.
I found:
Crossdrilled brake rotors by Forum Cold air intake with K&N Filter by LEGAL Racing A rear upper strut bar and front strut tower bar by Autobacs1 A short-throw shiftkit A cosmo Dynamic Coilover kit.. Possibly also a performance upgrade ecu, but I don't trust the ones available on ebay. Oh yeah, and pull the weather stripping for a whopping 1hp boost. oh yeah.
Due to the fact that it's a 98 SOHC, and probably needs a good tune-up, I'm only pushing about 115-120bhp. I'd like to get it up around 150Bhp, but that requires a larger money sink then I have the capacity for, so I might end up topping out around 135-140bhp. Now, a good ecu would add a 20hp boost, plus we'll go with a baseline 6hp for the CAA, that can push me up to 146. Then, with the sway bars, drilled rotors, and coilover kits, the car would ride and handle like a ******** dream.. Well, a dream for a Neon. smile
Especially since I'd be going budget with ebay sellers, I might be able to work all my parts in for less than 500$. I'm losing some raw performance and durability with the cheaper upgraes, but I'm not professionally racing the car, so that doesn't really bug me.
Now, the question comes down to if I should add a bodykit and a reasonable set of rims and a spoiler, maybe some altezzas, or if I should leave it stock, and have a sleeper.. If I did add a bodykit, I'd either go for a blitz or a combat frontend, with neo sides and rear. Mix and match is always nifty. Choices, choices. Luckily, I can still get a 7 layer kit on ebay for around 300$. I sure as hell won't be dropping over 700$ into a purchasing a bodykit, not even including installation and respray..
Blech.. My car, my computers, my movies, and my games.. I'm destined to be broke.
