A poem I wrote:
I believe what I see,
even if it's hard to look
even if it's hard to convince my heart it's true,
I will always believe.
But that doesn't mean I push away the unseen.
I follow my heart,
just like everyone says,
I listen to it's will, the will that is also my own.
But that doesn't mean I am ignorant to the hearts of others.
I keep all my memories,
because each one makes me stronger,
even though some may accidentally slip from my grasp,
I will always pick them back up again.
But that doesn't mean it's easy for me to reach for the painful ones.
I know my light,
that I have it in my heart,
that it's mine and mine alone.
And no one will take it from me.
But that doesn't mean I'm blind to my own dark.
