Stupid People Blaming Games
Well, I've been thinking about the people/person (I never find much detail about this stuff, so I've got no clue if it's more than one person) that blamed Rockstar for them breaking the law. It's really dumb, I mean, c'mon, is it really Rockstar's fault? The common answer is that it's the parent's fault for not monitoring the games the kid plays, but since I'm a kid and they can't really monitor all the games they play, I'm think it's the kid's fault. If they're that easily influenced, then shouldn't it be fairly obvious that anything with a hint of realism will influence them to mimic it? I know movies are generally accepted more since they've been around longer and aren't thought of by many people as being for kids only, but if a game is responsible for something since someone mimiced it, then wouldn't a movie have the same effect? The person probably was already gonna do it anyway, I mean, if only the violent and "bad" videogames influence them, they probably have problems, and it really has nothing to do with the game at all. If you disagree with that part, then you should show the person a game like Roller Coaster Tycoon and see if he starts an amusement park...
