Bwahaha! It’s a story about the GNPL! For further entertainment purposes, I’ll give everyone a new name. After you read it, you can send me a PM guessing who each character is and the person who gets the most characters right can have… 2k! XDDD
Let’s begin. Also! Nothing in this is supposed to be offensive or rude to anyone in the GNPL. If I didn’t write about you, don’t fret, because it really isn’t that important anyway. And I don’t have time or patience to write about everyone. For further Pokemon related goodness, I’ll go ahead and make everyone a Pokemon. But not your favorite Pokemon, because that would give it away. : P Also, you may be thinking: Oh hey! There’s no plot to this story! Well that’s for you guys to fix. Because right now I’ve written the story to the current point I think the thread is at. From there I’ll add things as they come. : D
Chapter One Pokéleaders
“We, as leaders, must maintain this forest to the very best of our abilities!” A small Pichu announced, the seven other Pokémon before him bobbed their heads in agreement.
A brave Growlithe was chosen to be first to speak. His words, though most definitely in good conscience, were often perceived as rude by some of the other Pokémon. Though is method was different, he got his job done better than most of the other leaders of the forest. The Growlithe began, “I believe, in order to maintain this forest to the best of our ability, we should definitely escort a few of the angrier Pokémon out of our forest! I know you will agree with me when I say that the forest has gone downhill lately, and it needs improvement!”
A Torchic and Treeko nodded together, understanding where Growlithe was coming from. An intelligent and confident Noctowl spoke to his fellow leaders, being especially careful to avoid using names of his fellow Pokémon, in an attempt at neutrality, “We must eliminate a certain few Pokémon in order to maintain a natural balance in our forest. There are some who are beyond the point of warning!”
The Torchic and Treeko nodded again, but this time the Treeko spoke up. “Wouldn’t it make more sense if we took a more… proactive approach to this all? It seems like we’re dandy with talking, yet we haven’t done much. That makes me sad. I also think we need to deal with the Pokémon who break the insult barrier. They really know how to hurt someone’s feelings! Especially mine!”
The Torchic nodded, and Pichu’s beloved Poliwag spoke in response: “I agree! Some of the behavior around the forest has been just plain rude. These are the Pokémon we need to speak with!”
“Speak with!?” the confident Noctowl gasped. “Haven’t we all agreed that expulsion from the forest is the only way to deal with the Pokémon who are breaking the rules of the forest left and right?”
“Some of you have,” Poliwag began, wagging her tail playfully. “I, on the other hand, think instant expulsion is a step in the wrong direction, and a step too far! Pokémon deserve second chances!”
“I’m going to have to disagree with you, Poliwag,” Noctowl said, Growlithe now nodding his head in unison.
“If we ever want respect,” Growlithe began, “we’ll have to start dealing out more damage to the Pokémon who are threatening the very homeostasis of our forest!”
The Torchic spoke up now, “I agree, some Pokémon have passed the line in some of the most inappropriate ways! Though instant expulsion is a bit too harsh, in my opinion…”
Treeko spoke, once again. “I think Noctowl has a point, though, don’t you? Some Pokémon in our forest are causing mischief right and left. Setting fire that fire spins right into a full blown fire blast!”
A Carnivine, who had remained silent for some time now, arose and looked into the eyes of his fellow Pokéleaders.
“Isn’t is obvious,” Carnivine started, “The answer is right in front of us. It’s only natural to get rid of something that ales you. In our case, there are Pokémon amongst us who deserve the ban-berry right in the mouth!”
“No, no, no! We can’t deflate our whole forest’s population over every little quarrel!” Poliwag exclaimed, clearly upset.
Pichu arose. “I’m calling this meeting to a halt. No clear decision has been made as a whole, so we shall take this into further discussion. Until then, I think we should all get back to the forest.”
Each of the eight Pokémon, Pichu, Poliwag, Growlithe, Treeko, Torchic, Noctowl, Carnivine, and Burmy, who found no interest in the discussion, made their way back into the forest.
Chapter Two Poképublic
A friendly Lickitung stood amongst a group of Pokémon, showing them funny pictures and making them laugh. He was nearly almost always found in the forest’s most populated areas, and knew his share about Pokémon battling. In most ways, he was a Pokéleader, just without the title.
Amongst him was another near- Pokéleader, a brave Chikorita with a great sense of fashion and confidence. Always striving for neutrality and quick to help newbies around the forest, Chikorita was revered and respected more than some of the Pokéleaders themselves.
Also about were Torchic and Treeko, two Pokéleaders who were quick to make friendly conversation and help out as many Pokémon as they could. Torchic was fair, friendly, and almost never got into fights. He was a true Pokéleader, in every sense of the word. Treeko spent a lot of time around the thread. The most relatively new Pokéleader, and least intelligent in Pokébattling, Treeko did what he could do best: organize. Treeko strived to do his best to remain neutral, but often came of as bitter and a favoritist.
Among those mentioned, was a Drowzee, intelligent, quirky, and creative when it came to suggesting Pokémon moves to her fellow Pokémon. Drowzee was revered by some, and not-so-revered by others. Beside all that, she was a treasured member of the forest, and a generally neutral person to be around.
Not far behind her was a girly Oddish, friendly in nature, but a little standoffish and ‘odd’. For whatever reason, Oddish respected Drowzee like a god, and considered her words to be ultimate truth. Among entrance into the forest, Oddish would make instantaneously catchy entrance phrases, and petal showers at his feet. Like Treeko, many people confused him to be a girl. Unlike Treeko, however, this didn’t piss him off.
There was one other hanging around the forest. Not far from Treeko and Drowzee, a small Eevee, the youngest in the forest, held a chalk-rock in her mouth. This small Eevee was best known for her art, and being quite the little visionary about it. (XDDD) The little Eevee had faith in herself and her Pokémon that surprised many people.
“OMG U GUIZ, GUESS WUT?” Lickitung announced to the thread, in a mock-idiotic tone.
“What, Licki?” Treeko answered, not at all surprised by the presentation of Lickitung’s question.
“I don’t know, lolololol,” the Lickitung replied, a few of his fellow Pokémon erupting with laughter.
Somewhere else in the forest, Drowzee and Oddish were discussing some advice for a fellow Pokémon, a Vaporeon, and how to handle her moveset.
Very rarely, quarrels would break out in the thread, usually over nothing. Weeks before the present day in the forest, they had been started by a seemingly cynical Mr. Mime, though these days Mr. Mime was pleasant to be around, even in the opinions of people who had once hated the Mime.
On this day, however, no fights were about, only friendly discussion. (LOL right… XD)
Chikorita smiled and asked the forest, “So we have decided to survey the forest, and see if our current conditions are proper enough to let three new Pokémon into the forest: Jirachi, Regigigas, and Celebi. Please speak with me privately, to deliver your message.”
At this time, Noctowl has entered the forest though did not speak.
A few of the Pokémon around the forest spoke with the Chikorita, while a few decided to remain neutral on the matter.
I’m leaving off here, since I think there’s enough for you to determine who each character is. : D Here’s all characters mentioned:
Chapter Two Point Five Poképublic Hilarity Mini-Chapter
The forest was abuzz with laughter, conversation, and discussion when a primped up Wormadam entered the main-clearing of the forest. All the Pokémon knew who he, or rather she, was, yet none of them wanted to admit it. Their precious Burmy had undergone a strange procedure to become a Wormadam…
“Hello, friends!” The Wormadam spoke, in his/her still deep voice.
A few Pokémon stifled laughter. A few paniced, like Treecko.
“What have you done!?” Treecko exclaimed. “You look so… UNBURMY! It’s scary!”
“Relax,” Wormadam replied, “It isn’t permanent. It’s more or less a joke.”
“…A joke?” Treecko exclaimed, adjusting the bow placed on top of his head. Was it some strange form of hypocrisy that this gender-bending Treecko would have such a strange anger towards Burmy’s new… ‘change’?
Or was it simply Pokénature for Treecko to flip out at the slightest change in his life.
“Yeah,” Wormadam began, “I do this all the time!”
“^-^ Yeah, he’s just curious!” Lickitung chirped in, only to be met with a glare from Wormadam.
“That’s it. I’m going back to Burmy basics.” Wormadam spoke, and flocked back to the Poképlastic surgery clinic.
“Thank Arceus,” Treecko said laughing.
Chapter Two Point Seventy-Five Pokémon Introduction
He was a Seedot, small, friendly, and creative. The signs each Forest Regular hung about their tree-house was made by this short little handy Seedot. Not only did he make signs, but he spent a lot of time around the main clearing, talking amongst other Pokémon. He wasn't a Pokéleader, but he spent a great amount of time around the forum, and as afore mentioned, had a strong talent for sign-making. Seedot had made signs for a lot of Forest Members, such as Noctowl, Treecko, and Torchic!
