Okay so most of you that i've talked to should be aware that i am a shinigami...and yes three common responses to this:
-"no you're not!"
(actually i am)
-"Like in Death Note?"
(no and yes, no-i'm real and the rules are different, also i don't float in my human form, and yes-i do the same job i take peoples souls...not with a notebook)
-*she's crazy*

Personal Info:
Shinigami name: Myouchousen (a destiny defied)
Okay so my soul has been a shinigami for five centuries.. i am the only all-female-for-the-my-whole-lifespan shinigami...My shinigami pest is named destiny (go figure...ode to irony) My shinigami form has bat-like wings, demonically shaped black claws and cat-like purple eyes...the rest of my form cannot be explained in human words...In my first human lifespan i commited suicide at the age of 16, and my second human life (third century for my soul) I was captured and brutally murdered at the age of 16, in this body my phycotic doctor thinks i will die at the age of...16...see the trend O.o
My job:
okay well...as a shinigami i have a 'destiny book' that tracks ghosts marks the time of death of every persons' spirit, and has 'wanted' lists for the hollows (no not from bleach or any other story) i have to monitor the other super-natural mishaps of the world. Sounds fun right...(note much sarcasm!!!!)
Other info (riules) (which i hate!):
-as a shinigami i cannot tell the fate of anyhuman TO any human! (i've bent that once...whoops!)
-I cannot reveal my 'true from' to anyone in the mortal world
-I cannot kill for my own joy or entertainment
-I cannot fall in love with anything dead (lovely use of terms)
Types of wings:
Skeletal bones-Rulers or highest in power
Batlike-(like mine) like the underlords of the shinigami rulers
Black Angel-Normal society nothing really exciting
White Angel-lowest level cannot take human souls must only work with animals
How to become a shinigami (do not follow these instructions for they are not directions):
It is to simply commit suicide, if you commit suicide your soul becomes a shinigami soul and you have forever changed your fate but this is not fun so DO NOT commit suicide!
How to get out of it:
Mostly unknown...we can travel to heven and hell but we cannot stay and there currently is no way to undo becoming a shinigami
