After my purge, I was treated to my favorite dinner, Sesame Chicken. I ate every bite! It was so good. I watched What Happens in Vegas, and laughed myself silly.
Saturday night we went to the Parish Fair. It was so cool to see and pet and even hold some of the animals! I never knew there were so many varieties of chickens! There were also ducks, geese, and one big turkey. I got to hold a baby, runt piglet, and a tiny chick, and pet a baby calf. There were also sheep, goats, and hogs. There was even a rodeo, but we didn't watch. I was just tickled with getting to walk through all those animals. Even though they are some smells creatures, I just love animals! Next, we hit the food booths and shared a onion blossom and a funnel cake, even a candy apple. Not so great a combination in the tummy, but it was another splurge that was delightfully yummy! We walked hand in hand through the carnival games with them shouting to come try your luck. We mostly just watched. The strong man/ hit with the hammer and ring the bell thing was the most entertaining. It was funny the way the guy used the male ego to tempt a boyfriend into trying for his gal. We hit about four rides: the Hangliders, the Gravitron, the Ring of Fire, and I don't remember the name of the other. But, I'm never big on the rides because my mind worries over the possibilities of something breaking and how much maintenance is actually performed on these rides that have been the same ones appearing at this fair for at least the last five years. anyway, I was getting tired and it was still a thirty minute drive to get back home. i slept well that night.
Sunday was nice and laid back. I pulled out my Fall and Halloween decorations. Now if we could only get another cool front to come through!
