Highschool Secrets chapter 4
Before I knew it, it was all over and I was at home on the couch with Alice beside me. As I started to stand up Alice awoke beside me and stood up. "Ello!" she laughed. Then she almost ran to the bathroom. 8 minutes later she stepped out and was in different clothes at this point I was sure she was an angel. This time she was wearing a green long-sleeved shirt with love on it, jeans, green all-stars, rainbow arm-warmers, a green headband, and her hair was straightened and white. Her eyes were glistening with excitement. "Okay what'd you do this time?" I asked "You'll see soon enough" she said smiling brightly. I went up to my room and changed then slid down the railing of the stairs landing with a hop. I could hear Alice giggling in the kitchen and I crept to the corner and peeked in, Alice was on the phone with one of her friends from Michigan (where she lived before) I could barely make out what she was saying, "I know right..... He is so awesome...... You wont believe what he's done for me!....." and so on. I think she may have been talking about me since she was talking about our past experiences (enter eye roll here). When her back was turned I tip-toed up behind her silently the pulled her into a hug. "and what do you think your doing?" I asked kissing her neck. "Nothing" she giggled "Listen, I gotta go Jenny later," and she snapped the phone shut setting it down, and turning to kiss me. "mmmm.... peppermint" I observed and she laughed her silvery laugh. "It's called brushing your teeth," she added, "I think I'll go do that" I laughed and went to brush my teeth. While I was brushing I could hear her on the phone again, "Hey Lisa, do you have the stuff ready?" I heard her ask quietly, "Okay good we'll be there soon." and I heard the phone snap shut. I headed down the stairs then grabbed her hand and spun her to face me. I kissed her with my hand on the back of her neck then let go and twirled her hair a bit before stepping away. When she was back in the kitchen she suddenly exclaimed "you are so random sometimes you know that?" "Yeah most people think that" I said grinning in her direction and her head popped from around the corner and she smiled with a bowl filled with cake batter in her arms. "I think you may be a better cook then my mom!" I commented. I heard her laugh loudly, "As if, you have to see this recipe your mother owns!" she called back. Then she stepped back out of the kitchen wearing a tight apron and her hair in a ponytail. "My god you look sexy" I exclaimed standing up and wrapping my arms around her waist. "Mhmm, thanks" she rolled her eyes. "No really you look sexy in that apron." she pulled away. "We need to go somewhere okay?" "fine" I shrugged getting into the passenger seat.
When we were pulling up to this place I could see about 20 cars or so in the parking lot and everything clicked together. "You tricked me, this is a god damned party! you know how much I hate parties!" I almost yelled "Yes but all your friends are here and I know that if I made you wear something fancy you would have thrown a fit and I know you hate being embarrassed." I folded my arms across my chest and pouted. She kissed me on the cheek as she climbed out of the car and I followed after with my hands in my pockets. "We're here everybody!" Alice cried when we entered through the door. "oh crap" well it turns out that EVERYBODY was there Marcus, Millie, EVERYONE I KNEW was there. "I'm gonna get you for this" I whispered in Alice's ear. "Mhmm right" and she went swaying gracefully through the crowd and I noticed every boy my age, younger, older, was all staring at her gaping I glowered at them all. Yet, I felt proud to have her as my girlfriend and not any of theirs. I started to dodge through the crowd in search of a drink when I saw her.......
