Stuff I write in for contests
New job?! omgarrrrrr!
Okay, so, the other night, I had work. 7pm--11:40pm. I thought it was a lot of fun! <3

At first I didn't understand what they were doing. The manager said that we were doing stuff with the display cases--setting them up and such, but I didn't know what to do with the items I moved. I thought I had to stuff them somewhere? Instead, I didn't. I just left them there.

Anyway, I moved all the stuff so that we could clean our display case. Everyone was given their own display table. One in the front has top priority so if they need an item they'll exchange and/or steal it from another table. The lady heading it exchanged one of my cleaned glass vials with another one (which was better because the new vial matched the others). I had to clean 6 vials. sad

I had a partner who has been at Bath and Body Works (BBW) for 2 and a half years. So she's knowledgeable but not very talkative. So at first I wondered if she liked me or not. Sometimes people have that kind of personality where they don't feel like talking yet. oh well. (:

So our display case was a big hexagonal table with 6 layers (each being smaller than the former, kinda like a layered cake). We cleaned each layer with a cleaning solution and then we had to read this diagram for the products that would be displayed there. The diagram was sooo confusing! It was angled at a strange way and had two sides to it. So I was constantly messing up! XD; But it was sorted out and she wasn't mad if it was misplaced. After a while I would self-correct myself so that I understood where the product would go.

THAT took 2 hours. Seriously! I hadn't notice that time flew by. At the end I went to take my 15 minute break, wondering what the crap I would do for 15 minutes. I wanted to keep working! So I cleaned up a little in the alley where we were throwing all the boxes and pictures we didn't need anymore. That actually took up all my time. Weird! It didn't seem that long.

Anyway, after I was done I went to do another display case and OMG this one was indefinitely more annoying. First because I was the only one setting this one up (it's not necessary to have partners but it is better). Second because the product line is sooo confusing.

We have this dermatologist woman named Patricia Wexler. She has all these products for acne and anti-aging serums etc. So of course all her products are labeled in her weird doctor code. What the crap does MMPI stand for?

Anyway, I had to take this "Fekkai" product (which I kept mispronouncing every time! In fact, I don't I remember what it was...haha). Unfortunately his products like to fall a lot. rawr. So it was a BIG mess when I was transferring all the products over to the other display case. This new case I had was a better table. More of a bookshelf type both front and back. Unfortunately, I had to find these special "Wexler" display cases which were on the loft. eek The loft is a special space on top of the employee bathroom we have. It's a small space where we keep all the display items like huge vials and plastic trays etc. So I had to climb up there on a ladder and look all the way in the back for the display cases and climb back down. arg.

Theeen, I put them on one side of the display case. Some parts were missing but it wasn't bad. THEN good news! A newbie, like me, is done with her display so I grab her and make her help me! haha. jk. But she did come over to help with one side. After we were done with the display case we went to another display that both Wexler and Fekkai have. Another newbie was sent to work on the Fekkai display while me and another girl were working on the Wexler. Some of the products couldn't fit in the drawer so we had to put them in a separate box and label them.

*pant*

All-in-all it was a successful night! Lots of new people helping out, lots of older people there too. Very cool! It takes a while getting use to it but it wasn't bad. I was really feeling the effects of the night by the end of it and reeeeally felt how it hurt by the next morning. Standing on your feet for nearly 5 hours will do that to you. xd

So it was fun and a little tiring but I'd really like to have more experience when the customers start coming in! whee Unfortunately, because the schedules are done a week in advance, we are not on the work schedule for this week. ): We will be on it next week, however. The manager said we may be called up this week if they need it! <3

So, yeah. I like doing the display pieces and talking with people that have been there forever! It all worked out and it turned out great! <3

Hi Sevi,

Wow surprised , I'm amazed by your stamina! I think I would have collapsed hours ago!

I tried the Fekkai shampoo once for my psoriasis-ridden scalp, but it didn't work confused . I returned the bottle, almost empty because the previous shampoo I used took that long to wear off, and got a full refund despite it eek ! The previous shampoo, Soak-and-Float from Lush, made a 'crust' on the top of my scalp that took away the itching from the psoriasis, but it gave my neck a rash. That crust took 2 weeks to wear off for me to discover that the Fekkai shampoo was worthless stressed .
