yet another weird dream

At a certain age, a father hosts a party for their daughters (some what like a sweet 15), kind of like a chance for them to find a mate (or boyfriend). I’m wearing this beautiful white dress, my father offers his hand, I stand up, taking his hand, and begin to dance. After the first song he hands me a special kind of ring, one where I give it to the one I love the most. Later I sit down in the middle of a couch; with a boy I liked on my right, soon another boy I had a crush on for such a long time sat on my left. Between them and me is another space at least for one more person on either side of me. I leaned on my right to the guy’s shoulder, he kissed my head, I raised my head to look up, and kissed his lips, shortly he kissed back. When I placed my arms around him is when he finally spoke “Sorry, I just did that because I felt like it was suspected of me to do so.” This baffled me as a stared back with my arms pulled away. I sat quietly like before, only this time disappointed. I leaned to my left this time knowing this guy wouldn’t mind or pull away. I didn’t look up to his face not wanting the same reoccurrence, after all he thought of me as a friend, so I stayed like that for the rest of the night, not a word was said, still wearing the ring I was given
