When we first met
we thought we were 16.
But the truth of the matter
we were only 13.

we soon became best friend
and talked all the time.
On the phone.
At the mall.
and even online.

But slowly and surely
we grew apart.
Me I took my time
and made my way throught it.
But you took it hard
and fell in to depression,
hurting your self
on your own permission.

You were scared to tell.
You were hiding the truth.
And when i found out
it broke me in two.

To see you in pain,
it brought tears to my eyes.
To try and explain ,
without all the lies.

I decided to tell.
To say it out loud.
Before I end up
with you lost in the crowd.

I was scared you would hate me,
if I told my mom.
I was scared if i told her
it would cause her alarm.

Please, stop before it is to late,
before you go with death
on your final date.

I love you
and I'll be your best friend to the end.
This promise i make
to you no matter what.

To be by your side
through the thick and the thin.
To help you stand,
through what ever it's.
