After seein gthe Dark Knight for the third time... I entertained the notion of dressing up as the Joker. Then seeing that a teen night was 1 week away, i impusively decied to do it.
I was not about to buy the costume and i intedid to do the make-up and hair myself. I did see a Heath Ledger Joker mask but that wuld cost twice as much and take out half the fun!!! twisted
I really didn't want to cut my hair to the Joker's length...so i basically made my own version of the Joker. So whith my costume designer/make up artist assistant/photographer/ driver/ younger brother we designed a new Joker costume using my clothing, we also added a few things taking off of other Joker versions. It was fun!!! xd
Then I wen't to a costume store to buy green hiar spray and make-up. I got lost but found my way again. sweatdrop i it was worht it! I was like a kid in a candy shop in that store!!!
Then the day finally came...i had my mother help me spray on my green hair, with streaks of my real hair showing through, it looked like Heath Ledger's hair! Except for the length though! sweatdrop then i applied my make-up with advice from my brother. Pictures were taken and then we headed out to the social function...with my head out the car window!!! xd
At the function...well i tried to scare the crap out of my friend...and i waited outside in the trunk of the car for half an hour. then...getting bored, i went in, and found my friend...well she was surprised none the less!!! In fact...everyone was!!!
Some great moments that happened were...a dance party! we danced to a lot of techno music! god it was exhausting! sweatdrop
then...the cops came! no i'm not kidding!!! gonk they came and the first thought i had was "oh crap! i'm gonna get arrested!" and i ran, hideing!!! xd while some kids dared me to go and talk to them...i didn't...for obvious reasons.
Then little kiddies showed up! at first they were scared...but they warmed up to me...and i chased them around! it was so much fun!!! they wanted me to do it! and they peeked around corners to get a look at the clown!
at one point of the night...someone commented that the makeup was becoming a part of my face, that i really was the joker. you know...it felt like it! i was the joker alright!!! i adopted the look, voice and lip smacking-tongue clicking habit of Heath Ledger's. xd
Phew, but the night didn't end there!!! Oh no! we went to McDonalds for icecream and to terrorize the public! reactions went from "Cool! It's the Joker!" to "What the Hell?!" and there were a lot of "What's the occasion?" followed by my answer "Just felt like it!" Then we ran into this one dude, who was wasted, but claimed to be a doctor...in psychology, so naturally he was interested. i was so nervous around him! i'm so glad that i had other people surrounding me! but we made it home safely.
Course, i had to stop by and see my dog, (she belongs to my friend, but loves me more, therefore, my dog) and she didn't recognize me!!! gonk until i took off my gloves! it was cute seeing the Joker and a cute doggy!!!
Overall, it was a good experience! if i had to do it again, i would in a heartbeat! and if i could change anything...it would be the trying to scare the crap out of my friend spoof. and i would like to have a bunch of Joker cards to throw around! xd
and lastely i'd like to thank my friends who encouraged me to do this whole thing, and my brother and mom who helped alot! although my make-up and hair dye washed out...well, the memories, legend, and smiles whether honest, amused or just plain screwed up, they will last forever. Keep on smiling!
