Cyrus the Omnipotent
It actually didn't turn out that bad. I used some decent imagery, and I even threw in a twist. Enjoy:
_____You stood proud over the bow of your ship, your grizzly visage staring into the deep violet sky. The sun was setting, and you were heading to the dreaded Barmuda triangle. You had no reason for going there: You had riches, you had a loyal crew, and you had a life already filled by adventures, yet you pressed on in the eerily calm seas.
_____It was then that it happened. The fog rolled over the deck, and the entire crew froze in place. The eerie calm was followed only by a menacing silence. The heads of your crew all turned, and their gaze, listless as that of a dead, locked on you. Their weapons drew, and the silence was shattered by the horrid wail of those caught in the power of the triangle. You drew your sabre, and awaited the onslaught...
_____ With one last puff of your cigar, you lunged headfirst into the orgy of violence crawling faster and faster toward you. They lunged with their blades, and they all converged on you. With a sinister grin, you leapt skyward, and wrought your vengeance on them from above. Their blood spilled, and flew through the air in a crimson rain. Foolish be any man who dared to challenge the great Baron.
_____Filled with both rage and joy, you tore through the men like rags; their empty eyes unchanged even as their heads fell to the deck. You stood amidst the massacre, and stared up at the night sky. The thick mist began to dissipate, and the stars shone on you as bright as they had ever shone.
_____As the fog cleared, so did the mist which swirled in your mind. You frantically looked upon the corpses of your once faithful crew, but did not find a single weapon among them. In their dead hands, they still clutched mops, playing cars, even ropes from the yardarm.
_____"Aye" you said with a sigh "So that is the power of the triangle. Why taint the entire crew when you could merely influnce the Captain." It was with this that you pulled from your pocket your last cigar. You were left adrift in the middle of the vast ocean. Without a crew, doomed to wander the seas until the end of your days. You lit your final cigar, and once again stared over the bow at the endless horizon...
