The knight layed there looking up into the dark night. not a single star was out that night. He smiled up at the sky despite the fact he was losing his life. The hole in his chest was bleeding badly, but he knew he still had a responsibiltiy.
He stood up his armor torn to pieces leaving him in only his jeans. he began stumbling forth to the edge of the castles tower. He looked down to see a girl being held up by a man covered in pitch black armor.
He cast himself from the tower sword drawn. He knew exactly what had to be done.
the man looked up only to have the knight's sword come crashing into his head. the knight hit the ground shattering every bone in his body. He simply lay there. bleeding in pain. but satisfied. he had done his duty. The girl crept up next to him and placed a light kiss on his forehead. He smiled softly then allowed the darkness to enclose him, death to take him, and leave all that had ever hated him.
