Special Surprise!
When Jason and his brothers get Mandy’s best friend up to Pepperell what will happen?
“Hey Mandy!” “Oh hey guys.” “What’s wrong you seem down?” “No. I found my book our class made for me when I moved. I still miss everyone.” “Yeah we miss everyone too.” “I still remember all my friends. Jacklyn Giana Robert even Cam.” “Oh yeah. Hey come on maybe you’ll see them soon.” “Not likely Jas. They live like a half hour away.” “But you never know what could happen.” And with that the three left. What could he mean by that? Could he be bringing everyone up here? thought Mandy.
Later Mandy got a call from Serena. “So what are you doing for your birthday Mandy?” “Well actually I am inviting everyone over here for a party.” “Oh that will be so much fun. Speaking of your birthday what do you want?” “You don’t need to get me anything Serena. Really I don’t need anything from you guys but for you to come.” “Okay. But I am still getting something for you.” “You never give up do you Serena?” “Nope. Hey I gotta go talk to you later. Bye!” “Bye!”
Mandy thought of what she should wear to her party. Her blue silk dress? No too formal. Jeans and a tee shirt? Too drag. Sun dress? Too childish. Then she remembered her nice white blouse and her faded jeans. That’s perfect! she thought. The next day Mandy met up with Jason his brothers Renee and Serena. “So what do you want for your birthday Mandy?”asked Jason. “I don’t want anything but for you guys to come to my party.” “Really? Because we don’t mind buying something for you.” “Really guys I said this to Serena last night” “Well I will have the best present of all.”said Jason. “Really what?” “Sorry Mandy cant tell you, you will just have to wait and see.” “Oh come on Jas. Please?” “Sorry Mandy you’ll just have to wait and see.” “Fine but you guys dont have to get me anything.” “We want you to have the best birthday ever.”said Tyler. “All I need to have the best birthday is for you guys to come!”
But Renee Serena Jeremy and Kevin forgot about their annual family trip. “But mother we have to go!”said Serena. “I’m sorry but you four need to come. It is the family trip and it wont be a family trip unless you four are with us.”said Mrs. Allen. “But Mandy’s party is on the same day we leave!”reminded Kevin. “Well you four will miss it!” “But mother! She needs us there!”said Renee. “Well your father and I will see. But till we get to an agreement you will miss Mandy’s party.” “Fine.” “Now go upstairs and washup dinner is almost ready.”
Mandy thought and thought but nothing came to her. She even begged Tyler and Edwin to tell her. But they swore to Jason they wouldn’t tell. “Please guys!” “Mandy your party is in two days I think you can wait.”said Tyler. “Guys I cant wait! I need to know! This will really just distract me from everything I do!” “Mandy just calm down! We just cant tell you. We can tell you he told everyone else.” “Really? Thanks guys.”
Mandy went to find Renee and Serena. “Guys I need to ask you something really important.” said Mandy out of breath. “What?” “Do you guys know what Jason is getting for me?” “Sorry Mandy, but we swore to Jason we wouldn’t tell.” “I know someone who will tell me.”
“No!” “Please Peter!” “No, Jason is my friend and I respect him so I wont tell you!” “Please Peter.” “No. And dont even think of giving me that puppy-dog face.” “Man. Come on Peter please?” “I’m really sorry Mandy.” “Please Peter. Do I have to beg?” “Beg all you want but I am not telling you.” Mandy finally gave up. She would just have to wait.
Friday. Only a day before Mandy’s party. When the twins found out that they are going to Mandy’s party. “So you got the lake house moved to next week?” “Yes. Now you will stop begging us to talk.” “Yes! Yes! Yes! Thank you so much!”
But with no one talking to you for two days it was hard for Mandy. Finally the day came. Yes it was Mandy’s party! Everything was set up and ready to go by the time everyone was at her house. “Happy Birthday Mandy!”said Renee and Serena. They got her a necklace she has been waiting to get. “Happy Birthday Mandy! This is from me and Edwin. Jason decided to give you something else.”said Tyler giving Mandy a big box. “What is this?” “You’ll see when you open it!” “Happy B-day Mandy!”said Jeremy and Kevin. They gave Mandy a nice watch. “Wait where is Jason?” “I dont know. Maybe he is in the front yard. Come on.”said Edwin.
He was in the front yard. “Jason what are you doing here in the front yard why dont you come back with us?” “‘Cause I wanna give you your present.” “What is it?” “Okay guys come on out!” Mandy was shocked to see all her old friends come out of her house. “Jason! How did you? When did you? This is the best Jason!” “Well I got everyone to come and they were so excited when I called to see if they could come.” “Oh my. Jason this is-”
She was so swept away she felt she was dreaming. All her friends from Salem were there. “I have missed you guys so much! And I still cant believe Jason Edwin and Tyler moved here!” “I know we were all excited when we found out that he moved right next door to you. We went ballistic when Jason called and invited us here for your birthday.”said Jacklyn.
“Wow I just cant believe this! Oh let me introduce you to my new friends.” Mandy lead her friends over to the small group. “Jacklyn Giana Cam Robert this is Serena Renee Jeremy Kevin Jake and Peter.” “You have gotten more popular, haven’t you Mandy?”said Robert. “Haha very funny. But seriously I know who my friends are in this town. And who to stay away from.”
Mandy said looking straight at Jake and Jeremy. “What!?” “You know what! With everything you two did since you met me.” “What happened now?”said Cam jokingly. “They have been playing pranks on me since I moved here.” “Really? That’s the same from what we did in Salem.” “You guys used to chase us around the playground,”said Giana. “How is that the same?” “Well that is because we were like seven and we always had that way of playing.”said Tyler. “True we had so much fun then!” “I wish we could just go back to that. Just have fun and run around. Be kids again.”
“Yeah but everyone has to grow up sometime.”said Jason. “Yeah we all have to move on,”said Mandy. “Which reminds me. I never told you guys but me and Jason are going out.” Everyone stared at her wide-eyed. “Really?” “Yeah. We have been together since last August?” “Yep last August. We just moved in and it happened so fast.”
“Maybe it was fate.”said Cam. “Maybe but we both knew we were supposed to be together.” “Yeah right!” said Kevin. “What do you mean yeah right Kevin?”asked Mandy. “He shouldn’t be with you if you two were best friends! You should still be with me!” “Kevin you said that day you didn’t mind my decision! Why are you being like this Kev?” “Because I should be with you! Jason isn’t right for you!” “How is he not right for me?” “I dont know but-” “Exactly so I can choose who should be my boy friend or not!”
Mandy was so upset she just ran right up to her room. There came a knock. “Mandy it is Serena Renee Giana and Jacklyn. Can we come in?” “Sorry about that. How can Kevin say that?” “We dont know why or how but Kevin still really cares for you.”said Renee. “Yeah and Jason really cares for you too Mandy.”said Giana.
“I just dont know what to do now. I still like both of them but I just dont want to hurt their feelings.” “You should’ve just stayed with Kevin then. You dont have to choose one or the other if you dont want to. Just take your time.”said Jacklyn. “Thanks guys you always know how to make me happy. I’ll come down in a little. I just need some time to myself.” “Okay Mandy we’ll see you later.”
On the other hand everything with the guys wasn’t too friendly. “How can you say that I am not right for Mandy?” “You aren’t! If you have been friends for so long I would think you would tell her sooner!” “You did the same thing Kevin.”said Jeremy. “Jeremy your not even in this so just go away!” “No I can stand up for Jason I don’t always have to stand up for you!” “I’m really sorry Jason. I don’t know what got into me. Will you forgive me?” “I’ll think about it. Just kidding! I forgive you Kevin. Hey! I would be the same way if I thought you weren’t good enough for Mandy.”
Mandy finally came out of her room. “Mandy I am really sorry for what happened. I don’t know what got into me.” “It’s okay Kevin.” “Really?” “Yeah. I’m fine really guys. This party is supposed to be fun. Now come on!”
“I cant believe Kevin did that though. He is never like that!” “Yeah it was weird and Jason never fights back.”said Giana. “Yeah they get like that a lot.”said Mandy.
“Wow Kevin I have never seen you like that!” “Well I just get like that at times.” “There is a green monster in you.” “Okay, okay I know I can get jealous at times but Mandy was practically bragging about how you two are going out.” “Yeah I was about to stop her but it was too late!” “She is just so pretty. Any guys would want to be her boyfriend.” “And that doesn’t mean you guys can go after her!”said Jason. “Don’t worry Jason we won’t!”said Tyler.
“Mandy we would like to give you your present before this party ends.”said Mr. Roberts. Mandy waited so long for what her parents got for her. “Mandy we got you a 14 karat gold earring set with a matching gold claddagh ring.” “Oh you guys are the best parents every. Thank you. And thanks to everyone else for coming. Especially Jacklyn Giana Cam and Robert. I don’t know how I live without you guys.”
