the name wouldn't fit so I had to type it like that sweatdrop . Anyway, here's how I think he went about it (if there's a whole commentary about it somewhere and I'm totally off then sorry I never saw it xd ):

-Just sat down one day thinking "what could i make my manga about?"

-Came up with the idea of crazy teacher Yukari-sensei (she's the first person introduced in the manga so yeah...)

-Came up with the oddest combo of students that could be in Yukari's class (prodigy Chiyo-chan, big but shy Sakaki-san, overly hyper Tomo, somewhat normal but short-tempered Yomi, weird airheaded Osaka)

-Came up with a rival for Yukari-sensei (popular P.E. teacher Kurosawa-sensei)

-Added in an even stranger character to the bunch (pervy, scary teacher Kimura-sensei)

-Mixed high school life with total randomness!
