I don't mind if someone is proud of who they are. However, what's their to be proud about when you're straight? What's that saying exactly? "I'm proud that I've never had to go through any adversities in my life because I'm straight. I'm proud that I can say this without letting all those none existent problems with being straight get me down!"
I'm gay, but I don't feel the need to have any sort of pride about it. Other than the pride I have within myself that is. I don't care if other gay people do it. I can see why people off different ethnicities would do it as well. Since they also have (and still are in some cases) faced adversities because of who they are. Though, it's rather silly to think of someone having Caucasian pride for the same reason it's silly to have straight pride. There's nothing you had to over come as a person. There's no harm in you saying such a thing. You don't face ridicule.
It's insane. Go through some mistreatment and then we'll talk.
