It's funny how life works
One day you're happy and the others you're sad
And other times
You regret things in life
My biggest regret is not telling you how I felt
Even though my feelings were pounding against my chest
Wanting to burst and talk to you
But I held it back and kept telling myself
"I'll say it next time"
I let my problems circle my head
Until I saw you
That's when I knew
I had my second chance
but I guess I blew it again
I wonder if there'll be another "next time"
In the future

There was another "next time"
But I blew it again
How many times does one person get
another "next time"
I feel so blessed
And yet

So then before I knew it
It was going to be the last day I saw you
Ever again
Maybe forever
I knew it was my last chance
But I ignored it
So I guess I won't say goodbye
Because I blew it again

But this time I told myself
"I guess this is goodbye forever"
Maybe if I'm lucky
I'll see you again
But if I don't
It wouldn't matter
Because I'll never make the same mistake
In the future
Ever again....
