Today while I was driving, I saw a young (3 or 4 year old) kid bounce his mini-soccer ball into the street, a 4 lane main road. He didn't go charging after it like you would expect, just waited patiently on the side of the road for traffic to thin out enough to go get it, Remember he is only a 3 year old. Kudos to his parents. BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!!!. One on the vehicles on the road approaching said child was a city bus. The busdriver actually brought the vehicle to a full stop blocking traffic in BOTH directions so junior could go get his ball. Schedule be damned, the driver wasn't going to let that kid risk life and limb, just for a ball.
Now you or I would probably have done, or tried to do the same thing, but now for the kicker! The kid was an orthodox Jew and the driver Quebecois, and trust me, there;s absolutely no love lost between these two races/religions/ethnicities. Can't explain why, they just hate each other on principle. Not in a bigoted way, even though it is, more on an historic level. The average Quebecois feels the average Jew stole his land, job, is repressing his culture and language; whereas the Jews have always mistrusted the French-Canadians to the point of refusing to deal with them whenever possible. Whose fault is it? both, one or the other, neither, Think of the song Margueritaville.
Anyhoo that's today's faith restoration! Maybe we can all live together, sooner than later heart
