The random crap of my life. XP Comments are surley welcome! ^_^
..My legs hurt so bad.
My parents and I went to the Oregon Vortex and to the Oregon Caves. It was totally awsome, the trip started at about 6:30 am and ended at around 8:00 pm.
We got to the Vortex at about 10:00 am.
OREGON VORTEX
The Oregon Vortex was really cool. The guide gave some demonstrations about how the Vortexs magnetic fields were all screwy. She called people from the group to help her demonstrate. These demonstrations worked best if there was some hieght difference in the two people she called from the group. She even had me and my parents go up to help with her demonstrations. blaugh It was actually a little embarassing, due to my stage fright. sweatdrop This was all before we went into the House of Mystery. The house is completely warped. We had the guide take a picture of us on the front steps of the house, but when we got to the stair, we all felt a little funky, as if you could feel the Vortexs power. We went inside the house and she gave about ten minutes of demonstration, which was hard to stand through, because everybody was standing at an angle. xd She made a broom stand up by itself and made a bottle roll uphill, but it wasn't really uphill, it was just an optical illusion caused by the vortex. After that we all went to the back of the house, and she made four women in our group, who all had different height, the same height, my mom being one of them. It was awsome. Then she did a few more demonstrations of the vortexs magnetic stuff and the we went to the gift shop. Now I'm wishing I had gotten a keychain, to add to my collection. gonk
We got done with the Vortex at around 11:30 or so, and we were hungry. We went to Grants Pass and found a nice regular restaurant that had EXCELLENT hamburgers! 3nodding After the hamburgers, and the almost explosion of my stomach. sweatdrop we went on our way to the Oregon Caves. That took us a while, or so it seemed. We found the right road, and the way up there was NOT FUN!! The road had many turns and the car was by the edge that, if the car were to go off the road, it would go down the mountain. I started to get carsick, but didn't want to reach for my mints for fear of the falling off the mountain. sweatdrop We finally made it to the parking lot and walked to the lobby where you pay for the tour of the cave. Our tour was going to be at 1:45 pm.
OREGON CAVES
The guide called for our tour group at 1:45. She was really nice and very energetic. She told jokes as well, which helped me because we were underground, it was freezing, the gates were locked (they have to put gates at the entrances of the cave so people don't come in and try to do grafitti, take souvanirs, and whatever, cause it takes over 75 years for some of the formation to just get to a few inches long, and we could really damage then just by touching them) also, some of the water dripped down my shirt and it was cold! There were alot of tight places were you had to either duck down so you wouldn't hit your head, or walk sideways so you wouldn't touch the sides, or sometimes both. There were some man made things in the cave, like the stair....over 500 that we had to walk over. The stair were so steep they were almost like ladders! There were a few rooms that we couldn't use the flash on our cameras because it would disturb the bats. Ther was this part in the tour were there was some grafitti in pencil, and most of it was done by a geography teacher and his students. Another of the signatures was done by a future tour guide for the Oregon Caves! xd The tour was about an hour and a half. After the tour, we walked to the giftshop, and this time, I got a keychain. 4laugh
OKAY!! I know I'm a keychain fanatic! I don't know why I like them.
I'll try to get some pictures up when the ones from the Caves get developed. I also have to find some way to lighten the ones from the Vortex.

isn't the vortex freaking wierd? I was there a while back and that hows was really twisted. The broom was odd. Did she do the demonstration where two people of the same hieght stood together and it looked like one was way shorter then the other? Me and some guy did that. It was fun ^_^ that's mainly all I read out of your journal entry. ^^;; I think you should paraphrase, as I should learn to actually read through ones entry ^^;; sory, well I'm glad you had fun L8ers
