I love messing around on the internet. It's a fun way to pass time and meet new people. However, some of the people I have met... are for lack of a better word, frightening. I don't know if everyone who talks with people online will inevitably have a problem with stalkers at some point or if I unintentionally do something to invite it, but it seems to happen to me often and it's really starting to bother me.

I define a stalker as: A person who has been warned about disturbing behavior and still harasses. Even worse, when every step has been taken to cut them off because that hasn't worked they still continue.

It's great making friends, but when these incidents happen it really makes me wary of making new ones in order to protect myself. It's the wrong attitude to have because not everyone is a stalker and I can't judge everyone by a few people. *sighs*
