I gave blood today, and it did not go well. I was fine until they started to fill these vials with my blood and I watched them fill the first two and then by the third one I got really dizzy. They laid me down and then I was good.
After that, I went over to the recovery station and had some apple juice and a peanut butter cookie, and then I saw that my friend wasn't doing too well so I went over to her. I was with her for about 10 minutes or so and then I wasn't feeling too hot.
I decided to go back over to the recovery station. . . BAD IDEA!!! It was about 40 feet from where my friend was to where I was headed. I only remember the first 20 feet, and of that all I remember is thinking about how heavy my foot falls were. Then I pretty much blacked out untill I ran into a table.
Doc was there and he basiclly carried me over to to lay down. The one nurse asked my if I was nauseous and I said something along the lines of, "No! I can hardly hear." Which is true. Everything was muted and all I could hear was Doc's voice and the nurse's voice. I got a cold rag on both my head and neck. I laid there and I was fine for the rest of the day. . . The end!
